This privacy policy describes how and when we collect, use & share information when you attend an appointment at the clinic, purchase a product, contact us or otherwise use our services. This is to comply with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018.

Why we collect your data

It is important to your treatment to obtain certain relevant details about you & your history regarding health, medications, activity, occupation, postal address, email address & an emergency contact number in case of emergencies.

How we collect your data

Your details will be taken & recorded, an initial paper copy will be held securely in a locked cabinet within the clinic premises. These paper notes do not leave the clinic.

Any computerised record of your details & subsequent treatment maybe recorded by the clinician & are only accessible by the clinician.

Scunthorpe Chiropody Clinic Limited may use a third party provider for a complete practice management system (Tynedale PPMS Podiatry/Cliniko) which has been developed especially for chiropody/podiatry practices. They are also governed by general data protection rules & as such are bound to adhere to all guidelines relating to data protection.

Marketing

From time to time we may wish to send you direct marketing material which may include product offers, newsletters and patient recalls for yearly assessments. If you are happy for us to do this, please let us know how you would like to receive this information; (mail, email, text, phone or no marketing).

When we will share your data

Your data will only be shared with your consent being obtained first. For instance if a referral is needed/requested, or if you request that your general practitioner is contacted.

We would only share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances.

Patient consent

Patients will be required to sign a consent form, agreeing to any procedure prior to treatment. You are entitled to withdraw consent at any time.

Data retention

All guidelines regarding keeping, updating, storing & destroying of your data are adhered to in order to comply with our legal & regulatory obligations.
